✸indie brands: clothing edition✸

If you’re like me and have been dressing in all black since forever, or maybe you’re new to it, trying to find goth/dark aesthetic brands that cater to a larger size range than extra small to large can sometimes be a pain in the ass.
While filtering the color selection to black on some sites can spring up a lot of great options for basics, but it can only get you so far. And yes, Hot Topic is still around but gone are the days of Hot Topic in 2005 where one could buy a spiked collar and matching arm warmers! I need those pieces that scream “creature of the night!” not whatever they have going on right now.
If you’re also gothically inclined and have found yourself in the same situation, wishing for the perfect addition to your wardrobe, I thought I would take the time and gather up some of my favorite brands!

Witching Hour Baby
Don’t let the gothic baby clothes & toys distract you, this shop ain’t just for babies! Unless you are shopping for your baby bat then you’ve hit the jackpot.
There’s plenty of options when it comes to jewelry and other unique accessories along with some clothing and shoe options. They carry both their own brand and other brands on their site.

Kalma
Stumbling across this shop was one of my best finds. Not only do they carry some really beautiful pieces when it comes to jewelry and art for the home, but they also do some beautiful community work at their in-store location.

Foxblood
This is the perfect shop for what I would call “elevated” basics. I have purchased two really cute skirts from them that fit like a dream. Their sister store, shopmyviolet, is the more pastel version that does stock some black pieces!

LivelyGhost
Another great option for clothing, home, and accessories!
The diversity within their models is something that ALL companies should be doing. I also appreciate the various color options for so many of their pieces. So if you’re someone you loves a pop of color to add to your all black fit they have you covered!

La Femme en Noir
Do you ever find a brand that feels like it was all your clothing dreams come true? That’s Le Femme en Noir for me. When they released their Crimson Peak collection it took every bit of control to order only one item. They also have a great selection of higher end sort of basic/staple pieces.

Die With Your Boots On
This little shop is what I would call a “one-stop shop” sort of place. They stock so many cool brands that I not only have listed already but ones that are new to me. Actually getting to visit this little shop in Salem, MA was such a highlight! This shop is another that has such a diverse collection of models and it makes me excited to support them.
